Chitwan Canoe Ride and Jungle Walk
A quiet half day: a dugout canoe down the Rapti at first light, then a guided walk back through forest and grassland.
Door-to-door private car from your Kathmandu hotel to your Sauraha lodge, one way. Price is per car for up to four people.
The simplest way to reach Chitwan without the bus timetable. Your driver collects you from your hotel at the time you choose, drives the Prithvi Highway via Mugling and Narayangarh, and drops you at your lodge door.
Stops for photos, tea or lunch are fine; just tell the driver. The drive usually takes five to seven hours depending on traffic and road works.
The same car can be booked in the other direction, or onwards from Chitwan to Pokhara or Lumbini.
Activities may be reordered on the day for weather, river levels or park rules.
Your hotel lobby in Kathmandu.
Cancel 7 or more days ahead for a full refund (minus card fees); 3–6 days ahead, half is refunded; inside 72 hours there is no refund. Read the full cancellation policy.
Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed. Your guide will choose routes for the season and the day's conditions. Check what each month is like and what to bring before you travel, and read our safety notes if you're traveling with children.
