Chitwan Canoe Ride and Jungle Walk
A quiet half day: a dugout canoe down the Rapti at first light, then a guided walk back through forest and grassland.
One night in Sauraha with a sunset by the Rapti, a Tharu village walk and a morning jeep safari before you travel on.
A short stay for travelers on a tight Nepal schedule. You arrive around lunchtime, walk through a Tharu village in the afternoon and watch the sun go down from the riverbank.
The next morning is the main event: an early jeep drive or canoe ride while the park is cool and animals are most active. You are back at the lodge for breakfast and on the road again by late morning.
One night is short, but it is enough to see the park and very often a rhino.
Activities may be reordered on the day for weather, river levels or park rules.
Your lodge in Sauraha, or the Sauraha tourist bus park if you arrive by bus.
